Livestock Team Continues Success
The Riverside FFA Livestock Evaluation Team continued the success of the chapter this year by placing 2nd in the region (1st in the district) at the West Tennessee Livestock Evaluation Career Development Event held at the University of Tennessee at Martin on November 8, 2012.  The team was only four points (out of a possible 2000) away from first place.  The Livestock Evaluation CDE tests a students knowledge about animal selection in the beef, swine, sheep, and goat industries.  Team members place seven classes of animals based on current industry standards.  They defend their placings in three of the classes through oral reasons.  The team also does a keep/cull exercise as a group.  The team will travel to the State CDE held in Murfreesboro next fall.  John Lawson Keeton was recognized as the 3rd High Individual.  For more information about placings visit the JudgingCard Results link at the top of the place.
